Crucial Weekend For Crusaders Sr. Men

The Marshall Premiership is starting to get to the business end of the schedule and the Crusaders have a crucial match up this coming weekend as they travel to Fletcher’s Fields to battle the Aurora Barbarians.  The Crusaders 3rd XV also have an important match as the travel to Ken Cox Community Centre to play Etobicoke Invictus RFC in a TRU Russell Division Semi-Final.

The Crusaders 1st XV find themselves 3 points up on a young and explosive Aurora side who are coming off a huge victory last weekend.  The Cru 1s gave the league leading Brantford Harlequins a scare, leading for most of the match but the classy defending Cup Champs just showed too much class for the young Crusaders in the end.

Also on Saturday several Crusaders will be involved with the Ontario Blues as they take on fierce rivals British Columbia Bears for the McTier Cup.  Andrew Ferguson and Andrew Wilson will play important roles as the Blues look to win their 6th championship in 7 years.  Crusaders coaches Rodin Lozada and Mark Winokur are part of the Blues management staff as well.

With the Cru coaching staff away, the reins are turned over to Sr. Men’s Manager Nikki Corless who will be acting Head Coach for a 2nd time this season.  Last time she was in the role she led the Sr. Men to a huge victory over the Lindsay Rugby Club.  The line ups for all three teams are listed below:
