Crusaders Sr. Men Entertain A Dangerous Stoney Creek Squad This Weekend

The end of the 2017 MPL schedule is in sight and the Crusaders Sr. Men have a chance to clinch their spot in the province’s premier league for next season with a victory over the visiting Stoney Creek Camels.  The Crusaders are playing their best Rugby of the season coming off a 27 – 22 bonus point victory over the Aurora Barbarians last weekend.  Stoney Creek are currently in last place in the MPL standings and will be desperate for a victory this coming weekend.  Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

“A desperate team is a dangerous team, but we have prepared for it and I expect our players to respond accordingly.” stated Crusaders Head Coach Rodin Lozada. “Our focus is on playing well and improving week to week, which we have done throughout the 2017 season.” said Lozada.

The Crusaders 2nd XV will also take on their Stoney Creek counterpart at 1:30 pm.  Meanwhile the Crusaders 3rd XV saw their season end last week with a semi-final loss to Etobicoke Invictus RFC.  Credit goes to the 3rd XV Coach Grahme Walsh and the young players who had an extremely successful season and provided the club with a solid foundation of players for the future.
