Financial Assistance

Crusaders is committed to ensuring that rugby is financially accessible to the broadest possibly community. In addition to funds the club makes available for financial assistance, our membership and alumni generously raise funds for, and contribute to, the Crusaders Players Fund to help members of our community who may need assistance broadening the pool of funds available each year to help individuals and families.

Under 18?: Try Jumpstart and Kidsport First

  • For players 18 or under, financial assistance is available from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program and/or Kidsport. We encourage you to start with those programs and to apply for club funding if you don’t receive assistance for either, or are not eligible.

Crusaders Financial Assistance: Crusaders Players Fund

You can directly apply for financial support from the club. Financial assistance is only available for core rugby programming (U6 through Senior spring/summer/autumn core rugby).

  • Funding is made available on the basis of need and is limited to the extent of financial assistance funding available to disburse each year.
  • Generally, funds will be limited to the maximum of $300 or the club portion of your dues (excluding Rugby Canada and Rugby Ontario dues). Funds beyond $300 may, in exceptional circumstances, be awarded.
  • Funds are not available for activities, dues or travel for programs offered outside or beyond the club – and exceptions will not be considered.

How to Apply:

  • Please complete this application form and email to secretary@crusadersrugby.ca with Financial Support Application in the subject line, and all supporting documentation attached. We cannot consider incomplete applications.
  • Applications are confidentially assessed by a small committee of directors.
  • We encourage you to submit an application as soon as possible and ideally before April 15, but will accept applications any time and awards will be made subject to the availability of funds.
