Volunteer Bonds – Quick Guide

  • If you paid a bond, you will have received an email inviting you to Vome to accept your Vome profile and should have set yourself up.

If you haven’t received the email or can’t find it, go here: https://www.vomevolunteer.com/login – use the same email address as you used when you registered as a Crusaders member (your PlayHQ account email address) or we won’t be able to track your hours against your volunteer bond.

  • Find Volunteering Opportunities – Apply to opportunities (i.e. Events Volunteer, or ) on the Vome Volunteer platform and you’ll be notified when we need people and there are scheduled shifts.
  • Download the Vome App to your phone to get notifications.
  • Volunteer Bond Status – check your required hours, hours remaining, whether you are eligible for a refund and the status of your bond refund.
  • How it works:
    • Every registered player pays a refundable volunteer bond that can be earned back through volunteer hours, either hours earned by the player or their family.
    • The registering player or parent owns the Vome account that we set up for you using the same email address as you registered (on the PlayHQ platform). If you registered multiple members, it’ll be set up as a family account.
    • Once you volunteer, your claimed/tracked hours are approved and you achieve the required number of hours, your bond will be eligible for refund. Refunds are processed at the end of the season at minimum and perhaps more regularly.
    • No Show Policy: if you don’t show for a shift that you’ve booked, an extra hour will be added to your required volunteer hours.
